Abstract
Today, social networking has become a popularweb activity, with a large amount of information created bymillions of people every day. In this paper, we focus on SinaWeibo, a rapidly growing microblogging platform, whichprovides a large amount, diversity and varying quality ofcontent. Our research is from a regional perspective, and focuson the information propagation process. By measuring the realbehavior of the user’s blog sharing, we construct the networkmodel of information follow and forward. We found that asmall group of nodes can cover the most of the communicationbehavior of the information propagation. Then, we proposed anew method to rank the users, and proposed an evaluationbased on real measurement coverage. Compared to similaralgorithms to verify its effectiveness and accuracy.
