Abstract
Research study on the Internet of Things andSmart Things has been going on for more than a decade andreaches back to Mark Weiser’s original dream of ubiquitouscomputing. Bruce Sterling recently popularized the idea ofSmart Objects and the IoT. Smart Things is another paradigmshift in IT world. Smart Things are the things that are havingembedding smartness or intelligence, identification, automation,monitoring and controlling calibre. Smart Things are assistinghuman life a lot, nowadays without their applications life isbecoming cumbersome. This paper exhibits systematically onInternet, Things, and then explores on Internet of Things andfinally Smart Things from researchers’, and corporate’sperspective. Moreover, this article focuses on the state of SmartThings and its applications. This in turn would help the newresearchers, who want to do research in this IoT domain.
